The program is designed for candidates with strong backgrounds in both mathematics and mathematics education and supports career paths such as mathematics education researcher, teacher educator, curriculum developer, and district or agency leader.<\/p>\n<p>Coursework includes advanced study in mathematics education, research methods, and mathematics, alongside seminars and supervised research. Apply for the Westerdahl Fellowship, which supports full-time studies in the Ph.D. program in Mathematics Education. You\u2019ll receive a full ride with a stipend of $25,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. November 1 (for Spring Admission).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Deposit Required: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/commit\/\">An enrollment deposit<\/a> is required upon admission and will be applied to your first semester\u2019s tuition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online Application<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.montclair.edu\/apply\/\">Submit application<\/a> and $60 non-refundable fee (or waiver if applicable).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transcript<\/strong>: One from each college attended.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Essays<\/strong>: Two required, The General Statement of Research\/Inquiry and the General Statement of Purpose statements should be up to 4 pages each, double-spaced and excluding references.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Statement<\/strong>: The Statement of Purpose provides you an opportunity to give evidence of your unique talents and experiences as an applicant to doctoral study at ÌÇÐÄvlog. In preparing your statement, please keep in mind that the Admissions Committee is seeking evidence of your ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Please include your reasons for pursuing doctoral studies by referring to relevant personal, academic and work experiences. Please also outline your future plans and any other information that may be of interest to the Admissions Committee.<\/li>\n<li><strong>General Statement of Research\/Inquiry<\/strong>: The Statement of Research\/Inquiry provides you an opportunity to inform the Admissions Committee of your thoughts, ideas and areas of interest that may lead to dissertation research.
