Industrial\/Organization (I\/O) Psychology is the scientific study of the workplace. Using the rigor and methods of psychology, the field addresses issues vital to modern organizations, including talent management, leadership coaching, assessment, team dynamics, selection, training, organizational development, job design, performance and work-life balance.<\/p>\n

The Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology offers a comprehensive curriculum, small class sizes and close faculty mentoring. The program develops aspiring human capital consultants, people scientists and HR leaders who can design solutions to strategic human challenges in complex systems.<\/p>\n

This two-year STEM-Designated Degree Program blends rigorous theory with applied practice. Students learn both industrial and organizational topics, engage in integrative coursework and culminate their studies with a capstone project \u2014 either a supervised internship or original thesis. Along the way, they gain expertise in research, statistics and data science, preparing for careers across business, consulting, government, health and education or for doctoral study.
