Unlike clinical careers that treat individuals, public health focuses on preventing disease, promoting wellness and advancing health equity for entire populations\u2014locally, nationally and globally.<\/p>\n

At Montclair, you\u2019ll study pressing issues such as chronic disease, mental health, substance use, maternal and child health and healthcare access, all through a lens of social justice and health equity. You\u2019ll also gain hands-on experience that prepares you for careers in government agencies, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, community clinics, schools, and corporations.<\/p>\n
