The 2026 program is scheduled for <strong>June 29th to July 30th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Residential 6-Credit Track<\/strong>: Offers two in-person courses with campus housing, meal plan, books, and events included. Discounted price: $1,795 ($6,500+ value)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commuter Hybrid 6-Credit Track<\/strong>: Offers two courses (virtual and in-person) with books, Red Hawk dollars for meals and events included. (Virtual Mon\/Thurs and In Person Tues\/Weds) Discounted price $1,395 ($5,000+ value)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/apply.montclair.edu\/register\/sbsp26\">Register Today!<\/a><\/span>\n<p>The registration deadline for the Summer Bridge Scholars Program will close once we reach capacity. Please explore the process at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/disability-resource-center\/\">Disability Resource Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are meals available?<\/strong><br \/>\nMeals are available and free of charge to all in-person participants. Commuters will be issued Red Hawk Dollars credit to cover some meals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I participate in Summer Bridge if I am an Educational Opportunity Fund, Nursing or Health Careers Program student?<\/strong><br \/>\nEducational Opportunity Fund and Health Careers Program students have their own summer program that takes place at the same time as Summer Bridge, so it is not possible for EOF and HCP students to participate in Summer Bridge. For Nursing students, due to the nature of the nursing program and the cohort model, the curriculum is already planned for each semester and does not include a summer session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have dual enrollment\/AP credits that I am transferring to Montclair. Can I still participate in Summer Bridge?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, please indicate any pre college credits on your application!<\/p>\n<p><strong>If I live on campus for the Summer Bridge program can I stay on weekends?<\/strong><br \/>\nWeekly Thursday afternoon checkout is mandatory unless you are a non-NJ resident student or have extreme extenuating circumstances. Out of State Scholars and those with extreme circumstances can apply for weekend housing (approximately $500) by submitting the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1fDxs89gFa2fEla5E9ZSJtzlRa-sxbiKDkmBmfYNTs3k\">Summer Bridge Weekend Housing Request Form<\/a>. Weekend housing is not guaranteed. Please note if approved the cost for weekend housing must be paid for in advance and meals are not included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are the residence halls shared?<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents will be housed in doubles with a roommate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens after I sign up?<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents receive a confirmation email after signing up for the program. Students must complete a list of action items, including submitting vaccination documents no later than June 1st. Students will be registered for classes that are carefully selected by their academic dean and advisors, schedules will be available by mid-June.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When will the course offerings be announced for the Summer Bridge Program?<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents will be notified of their official schedule by mid-June. Students will be placed into courses based on their major, these courses will be counted toward graduation credits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If I participate in the commuter 6 (Hybrid track), does that mean I have to join classes via Zoom or will I just get assigned work to complete?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe online courses will have a mix of synchronous and asynchronous work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are the events from 1:30 pm-4:00 pm required?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe afternoon activities &#8211; Academic Support, Tutoring, and Workshops are required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will I be able to choose which two courses I would like to take over the summer or will they be assigned to me?<\/strong><br \/>\nCourses will be assigned to each student and students will receive a schedule in mid-June.
