We are kicking off the New Year with a series of events planned throughout New Jersey and New York. Join us in 2020 for SOAR with Us as we bring the Montclair State experience to you \u2013 our alumni and friends \u2013 with a special series of events celebrating SOAR, The Campaign for ÌÇÐÄvlog<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to offer this series of gatherings for alumni to connect with their alma mater and fellow graduates from their area,\u201d says Jeanne Marano, assistant vice president for Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. \u201cWe hope you will join us on January 30 to kick off the series in Morristown and welcome the dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Peter Kingstone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reconnect, reminisce and engage with fellow Red Hawks and University leadership. Hear about Montclair State\u2019s recent accomplishments, learn about exciting future plans and explore opportunities to become involved with your alma mater. Take part in these opportunities to build your network, renew old friendships and foster new ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe events I attended were being held in areas that I happened to be working that day, so they were convenient to fit into my schedule,\u201d says Marc Mustachio \u201909, who joined us this summer at two networking events. \u201cHaving not been back to the campus in several years, it was great to catch up on what was going on at the University since each event included an update on recent happenings on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Mustachio, these events also gave him the opportunity to reconnect with members from an honors society that he was part of at Montclair State. \u201cIt was nice to spend some time sharing stories of what we had each accomplished since graduating,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

In addition to attending these events, alumni also have the opportunity to help organize events in their neighborhood. \u201cThe alumni networking event will provide a great opportunity for Montclair State alumni professionals to connect, exchange career ideas and most importantly, create long-lasting relationships,\u201d says Bisrat Mekbeb \u201901, who is helping plan the March 25 New Brunswick event.<\/p>\n

Help us build and strengthen the Montclair State alumni network and explore ways that you can continue to be part of Montclair State\u2019s success. Join us as we advance this exciting growth and soar to new heights.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m excited to be here as the new Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences because the College is a powerhouse of teaching and research about the elements that define our shared humanity and for thinking about how to make the world a better place,” says Dean Peter Kingstone, who will be joining us in Morristown on January 30. “I\u2019m eager to meet the alumni who came through Montclair State and the College and to explore ways that I can inform alumni about goings on in the College and to engage and involve them our many activities and endeavors”<\/p>\n

SOAR, The Campaign for ÌÇÐÄvlog, is the largest and most ambitious campaign in Montclair State\u2019s history.
