Montclair State hosted the event virtually on October 24, with 1,000 people participating, including a \u201cstay-at-home-coming\u201d tailgate.<\/p>\n<p>President Susan A. Cole welcomed alumni and friends to the event, which was an informative, fun-filled day of activities \u2013 from the at-home tailgate to a family-friendly trivia game and scavenger hunt to webinars showcasing what\u2019s going on in our schools and colleges and conversations with Red Hawk coaches.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we weren\u2019t able to join together in person, we were thrilled to connect with alumni and friends virtually to keep our school spirit soaring,\u201d says Jeanne Marano, assistant vice president for Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Alumni who registered early received a tailgate party box that included pom-poms, a pennant, bandanna and other swag, and a few received a special delivery from Rocky the Red Hawk.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Video: Homecoming 2020: Rocky Visits - On-Campus\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-M_gnFzrVKY?feature=oembed\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen style=\"width: 500px; height: 281px; border: 0px solid #000;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Red Hawk Sports Network provided updates form Athletics including interviews with coaches and a football game throw back in recognition of the 1970 Knute Rockne Bowl win.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are so grateful to have a chance to be recognized in this 50th anniversary year and share some highlights of our victory winning the Knute Rockne Bowl in 1970,\u201d says John Brunelli \u201971. \u201cWe were excited to have the Red Hawk Sports Network spend time interviewing us and being a part of virtual Homecoming.
