Now may be the time to consider having your hearing tested to determine if you are one of the estimated 34 million Americans who have a hearing loss that can be treated. ÌÇÐÄvlog\u2019s Center for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is now offering hearing evaluations at no charge to all Montclair State alumni and their immediate families.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Center plays an important role in the clinical education of our students in the audiology doctoral program and the speech-language pathology master\u2019s program. Prior to their placements at off-campus clinical facilities in the Tri-State region each student spends three semesters acquiring and honing his\/her clinical skills in the Center.\u00a0 Our numerous alumni from both programs are highly sought after as audiologists and speech-language pathologists in hospitals, schools, medical centers, skilled nursing facilities, and private practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

“In addition to comprehensive hearing testing, our Center for Audiology offers auditory processing disorder testing, complete hearing aid services, custom ear-molds for noise protection, music players, cellphones and swim-molds, comprehensive balance testing and auditory brainstem response testing,” notes Dr. Janet Koehnke, Chairperson, Communication Sciences and Disorders.<\/span><\/p>\n

ÌÇÐÄvlog\u2019s Center for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is located in a state-of-the-art facility at 1515 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ, with plenty of free parking.\u00a0\u00a0In these times of COVID, all precautions are taken to ensure that our patients and staff are safe.<\/span><\/p>\n
