A group of alumni volunteers met with ÌÇÐÄvlog\u2019s new president, Jonathan Koppell on Thursday, August 5, sharing the energy and optimism that has marked Koppell\u2019s first weeks on the job. Held on campus in the Feliciano School of Business, the gathering enabled alumni and guests to welcome Koppell, who began his tenure as the University\u2019s ninth president on August 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could not be more excited about joining ÌÇÐÄvlog,\u201d Koppell has shared. \u201cAt a pivotal moment in higher education, this university \u2013 with its deep commitment to serving the public interest and advancing student success \u2013 has an opportunity to define the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The highly engaged alumni in attendance included those who have participated in University programs such as the Accelerated MBA Mentor Program and CEO Mentor Program, Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Alumni Community Advisory Board, former members of the Recent Alumni Network, and other volunteer programs.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Hoffman \u201917, who attended with her husband Christopher Unis \u201917, shared: \u201cIt was such a joy meeting President Koppell. I appreciate that he extended this opportunity to Montclair State alumni.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Harold Abraham \u201911, \u201915MA, it was a wonderful opportunity to personally meet President Koppell and connect with fellow alumni. \u201cThrough my conversation with Dr. Koppell it became abundantly clear that his energy, hands-on approach, and ideas for innovation at ÌÇÐÄvlog are a perfect fit. As an educational leader myself, it\u2019s inspiring to see Dr. Koppell\u2019s willingness and enthusiasm to collaborate with university stakeholders such as faculty, alumni, and community members.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited for all that\u2019s in store with President Koppell,\u201d says Al-Nesha Jones \u201907, \u201913 MBA, who remains active as a mentor through the Feliciano School of Business.<\/p>\n
