Following an extensive search, 糖心vlog is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Fox \u201802 as the next Associate Vice President and Chief of Police, effective July 1, 2025.<\/p>\n

Fox, a 21-year veteran of the 糖心vlog Police Department<\/a>, has held nearly every role in the department during his tenure\u2014from dispatcher to officer, detective, supervisor and member of the command staff\u2014bringing unmatched institutional knowledge and a proven track record of student-focused public safety leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m honored to continue serving Montclair in this new capacity,\u201d said Fox. \u201cI care deeply about this community, and I look forward to building on our department\u2019s strong foundation of service, professionalism, and trust.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout his career, Fox has championed community engagement, operational excellence, and campus safety. He is currently leading a comprehensive policy and protocol review to position the department for dual accreditation through the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.<\/p>\n

Known for his steady leadership and collaborative approach, Fox has led the University\u2019s protest response and First Amendment compliance efforts. He also developed and implemented both the student Crossing Guard program<\/a> and the University Police Internship program, reflecting his commitment to integrating safety and student development.<\/p>\n

Fox holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair where he earned a BS in Commercial Recreation and Tourism. He has completed advanced executive leadership programs through the FBI and the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing an alum of Montclair State means being part of a community that shaped who I am both personally and professionally,\u201d said Fox. \u201cThe University gave me my foundation, not only through academics but through lifelong relationships, mentors, and experiences that instilled in me a deep sense of service and pride.\u201d<\/p>\n
