Her works utilizes a wry, unexpected approach to everyday objects and situations as a means of interrogating social and cultural concerns. Ho uses her identity as a Chinese-American as the central subject and inspiration for many of her works that are humorous and resemble games but also have serious undertones and make critical social observations.<\/p>\n<p>Ho received her BA in Theater Arts from UCLA and a master\u2019s degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University. She lives and works in Beijing and San Francisco. In 2022, Ho was selected as an artist-in-resident at Recology, San Francisco, creating large-scale installation work out of materials scavenged from the city dump.<\/p>\n<p>She has exhibited at the Jakarta Biennale (2021); Thailand Biennale (2018); Luggage Store Gallery, San Francisco (2018); BANK, Shanghai (2014); Observation Society, Guangzhou (2013); St. Andrews Museum, Edinburgh (2013); Long March Space, Beijing (2008), among others.<\/p>\n<p>Ho is a co-founder of Arrow Factory (www.arrowfactoy.org.cn) one of the longest-standing, independently-run alternative art spaces in Beijing, which operated in a small storefront from March 2008 to September 2019.
