Rose Hall in New York City. Pafumi, a soprano, will perform in the role of Imelda, alongside the lead soprano Angela Meade, and an international cast of young artists including American tenor Aaron Blake in the role of Ugo, Chinese baritone Yunpeng Wang in the role of Duke Azzo, and Serbian bass Sava Vemi\u0107 in the role of Ernesto. The performance will be conducted by the company\u2019s Founder &amp; Music Director Laureate Eve Queler.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mia Pafumi\u00a0completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance in May of 2013, and her roles in ÌÇÐÄvlog\u2019s operas include\u00a0<em>Il Re Pastore<\/em>, <em>Le Nozze di Figaro<\/em>, \u00a0<em>Tamandu\u00e1<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Der Rosenkavalier<\/em>. She performed in Montclair State\u2019s 2012 opera workshop of Lorca\u2019s\u00a0<em>Bodas de Sangre\u00a0<\/em>under the direction of Jeffery Gall, and starred the lead role in Montclair State\u2019s Main Stage Production of Francis Poulenc&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Dialogues of the Carmelites<\/em>. Pafumi spent her spring semester of 2012 studying abroad at the Conservatorio \u201cGiuseppe Verdi\u201d di Musica di Milano in Italy, and has performed in the 2010 Rome Festival Orchestra Young Artist Program. \u00a0In 2014, Pafumi placed second in the Violetta DuPont International Vocal Competition and received a grant from the Giulio Gari Foundation\u2019s 2014 International Vocal Competition. She then performed throughout the summer with Josh Greene and Carol Yahr\u2019s New York Summer Opera. Pafumi is currently pursuing a Master of Music graduate degree at the School of Music at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.<\/p>\n<p><em>Parisina d&#8217;Este<\/em>\u00a0is an opera, a\u00a0<em>tragedia<\/em>\u00a0<em>lirica<\/em>, in three acts by Gaetano Donizetti.
