Thanks to the generosity of\u00a0Cento Amici<\/a>\u00a0(translation: 100 Friends), a community-based organization dedicated to supporting education in New Jersey, 12 College of the Arts\u2019 students were awarded scholarships and recognized at the organization\u2019s 31st Annual \u201cMeet the Scholarship Recipients\u201d Dinner on April 29 in Warren, NJ.<\/p>\n

Robert Zito, president of Cento Amici,\u00a0welcomed the organization\u2019s members and their guests, along with student scholarship recipients from several academic institutions including Montclair State\u2019s College of the Arts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event is always a highlight of the year for our members,\u201d said Robert Zito, the founding president of Cento Amici. \u201cThe opportunity to meet the students, who are selected by their schools to receive our scholarships, is a great reminder of why we work to support funding these scholarships.\u00a0 They are truly tomorrow\u2019s leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The College of the Arts is grateful to have been chosen as a beneficiary institution of Cento Amici. We especially thank Cento member Joseph Canderozzi, who brought the scholarship to Montclair and who serves on the College of the Arts\u2019 Advisory Board,”\u00a0said Linda Davidson, College of the Arts\u2019 Assistant Dean.<\/p>\n
