After a wonderful, life-altering trip to India and 17 years of perseverance, Lisa and her team of Heather Kenyon and Munjal Shroff worked a development deal with Mattel that landed their preschool animated series, \u201cDeepa &amp; Anoop\u201d on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>Brought to India by animation guru, Ram Mohan, Lisa served on the international jury for the Mumbai International Film Festival and taught a workshop for Ram\u2019s animation school. Lisa became fascinated with the \u201cPage Three\u201d column in The Times of India dedicated to Bollywood stars and from there, her inspiration for the series took flight.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa is proud to serve as a co-creator, writer and consultant of \u201cDeepa &amp; Anoop\u201d which features 32 x 11\u2019 episodes and 2 x 22\u2019 specials that aired on Netflix August 15, 2022. Lisa wrote two episodes, \u201cWhat\u2019s the Buzz?\u201d and \u201cSurprise, Surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lisa continues to strive as an innovative content creator, producer and educator who specializes in developing shows with heart and humor, animated or live-action, across the family and children\u2019s media landscape. Lisa\u2019s other accomplishments include serving as story editor on \u201cBabyRiki,\u201d a Russian preschool animated series adapted into neutral English for the British market which featured 146 x 5\u2019 episodes that aired over three seasons. Lisa is currently developing two unscripted series with Citizen Skull Productions. She loves writing episodes on other people\u2019s shows and also has several new series she\u2019s developing and preparing to pitch for preschoolers and tweens.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated to the NYC animation scene, Lisa was appointed to the NYC Animation Industry Council that advises The Animation Project (TAP). She is a past president of Women in Animation (WIA) NYC and continues to mentor and network creators in our industry. She\u2019s published articles in Animation Magazine and AWN.COM. Lisa also teaches classes on developing animated series and business practices at ÌÇÐÄvlog in New Jersey and privately.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa is also co-founder of Tour de Forks, a culinary travel company based in New York City. When not busy with all these interests, Lisa can be seen walking her Fox Terrier Lulu, in Central Park or posting for Lulu on Instagram @luluwhythelongface.
