The Bergen County Zoo is a small, approximately 15 acre, zoological park accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. We are located in Paramus, New Jersey. Each year our education department facilitates more than 900 programs, educating more than 40,000 individuals. Our educators strive to provide high-quality, relevant, scientifically accurate education programs using audience-appropriate techniques. Through these programs, we aim to increase our audience\u2019s knowledge of and empathy towards animals and their habitats, and through this knowledge and empathy, we strive to inspire our audience to make informed, deliberate choices in their lives to preserve the natural world.<\/p>\n
