Dr. Stephanie Silvera Advises People to be Cautious in Colder Months

Experts like epidemiologist , Professor in the , are advising people to be cautious as we head into the colder months when indoor activities bring a higher risk “not just for COVID, but also for flu, and so we need to encourage people to get both their COVID vaccine as well as their flu vaccine.â€

Dr. Silvera noted, “The good news is, while we saw an increase in the number of cases towards the end of the summer, July and August, we are actually seeing a decrease in the number of new cases each day, which is very different than what we saw last year.”
