Eliot Poetry Prize, the Whitbread Prize, and the Hawthornden Prize. He is also the recipient of the prestigious 2001 Queen\u2019s Gold Medal for Poetry.\u00a0 He was Ireland Professor of Poetry 2007 -2010.\u00a0\u00a0 Michael is a brilliant poet and a superb reader.<\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0 Harry Clifton, who read at Montclair last October, has just been named Ireland Professor of Poetry: see http:\/\/irelandchairofpoetry.org\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday November 30<br \/>\n2:45 pm, University Hall 3048: film lecture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tony Tracy, Director of the Huston School of Film &amp; Digital Media at the National University of Ireland, Galway, will speak on &#8220;<em>Adam and Paul and the Urban Irish Film<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Following Tony&#8217;s talk, there will be a reception and open discussion of the film.\u00a0 I can lend a dvd to anyone interested in joining the discussion.<br \/>\nTony Tracy has published widely on transnational cinema as well as on Irish film.\u00a0 He has experience in all aspects of film production and culture and has worked for\u00a0 Miramax Films in NY.
