Date and Time<\/strong>: Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 3 PM to 4 PM Join the CHSS Center for the Digital Humanities for a lively conversation on a recent article that is getting a lot of publicity. \u201cThe Digital-Humanities Bust<\/a>\u201d by Timothy Brennan is provocative, and we\u2019re going to talk about it!<\/p>\n This event is open to ALL FACULTY AND STUDENTS.<\/strong><\/p>\n Check out the short article and join us for an informal and thought provoking conversation!<\/p>\n In addition to the article by Timothy Brennan, we\u2019ve added a rebuttal article titled, \u201cThere Is No Such Thing as \u2018the Digital Humanities’<\/a>\u201d by Dr. Eric Weiskott, Assistant Professor of English at Boston College. It is optional reading material but a good way to hear both sides of the argument.<\/p>\n Other optional reading materials include \u201cDigital Is Not the Opposite of Humanities<\/a>\u201d by Sarah E. Bond, Hoyt Long, and Ted Underwood from The Chronicle of Higher Education<\/em> and \u201cWhy is Digital Humanities?<\/a>\u201d by Sarah Catherine Stanley.<\/p>\n
