Yasemin Besen-Cassino, associate professor in the Department of Sociology, was interviewed by .
She touches shifts in the economy and culture, changes in manufacturing and blue-collar jobs, flex jobs, the gig economy, retail, the service sector, and youth labor.
Besen-Cassino is working on several book projects including Origins of the Gender Wage Gap and Gender Inequalities in the Workforce, under contract at Temple University Press. She is also the author of  (Temple University Press, 2014) and (with Daniel R. Cassino published by Rowman and Littlefield: New Jersey, 2009)
