Williams, assistant professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/chss\/justice-studies\/\">Department of Justice Studies<\/a>, has been invited to speak on a panel discussion on &quot;Teaching and Researching Racialized Police Violence while Black&quot; at Yale University on March 7, 2018. The panel is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration.  <\/p>\n<p><!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>Williams is an activist scholar and his research focuses on critical policing, race, social control, and criminal justice policy. He is currently conducting on-the-ground critical ethnographic research in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland following the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/chss\/justice-studies\/\">More on the Department of Justice Studies&nbsp;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jason M.
