The book presents a comprehensive, empirical examination of writing programs at 106 universities. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/profilepages\/view_profile.php?username=isaacse\">Isaacs is the associate dean for academic affairs<\/a> in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and a professor specializing in writing pedagogy, assessment, and programming in higher education. Her articles have appeared in&nbsp;<em>Pedagogy<\/em>, <em>College English<\/em>, <em>Writing Program Administration<\/em>, <em>Writing Center Journal<\/em>, and <em>Journal of Teaching Writing<\/em>, and she has coedited and contributed to several books, including <em>Public Works: Student Writing as Public Text<\/em> and <em>Intersections: A Thematic Reader for Writers<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emily J.
