{"id":210384,"date":"2022-10-18T14:27:31","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T18:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/chss\/?p=210384"},"modified":"2023-01-31T13:54:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T18:54:42","slug":"41-ba-mba-program-for-select-chss-majors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/chss\/2022\/10\/18\/41-ba-mba-program-for-select-chss-majors\/","title":{"rendered":"4+1 BA\/MBA Program for Select CHSS Majors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/combined-programs\/programs-of-study\/business-administration-combined-bachelors-mba\/\">\u201c4 + 1\u201d Bachelor\u2019s\/MBA<\/a> is a five-year program, during which students spend three years taking courses required for their chosen bachelor\u2019s degree program and in their fourth year, complete (along with required undergraduate program courses) 6 credits\u2019 worth of graduate business (MBA) coursework that satisfies\u00a0 undergraduate degree requirements and counts toward achievement of the MBA degree.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High-achieving Montclair State students are able to complete a Bachelor\u2019s and MBA degree in five years<\/li>\n<li>Students from a variety of undergraduate disciplines gain valuable business and professional knowledge, skills and experiences that enhance their employability and career options post graduation.<\/li>\n<li>Students are able to take advantage of a more time- and cost-effective option for getting an MBA degree by taking \u201cswing\u201d graduate courses that satisfy both their undergraduate and graduate degrees at the undergraduate tuition rate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following CHSS undergraduate programs are approved for participation in the 4 +1 program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/classics-ba\/\">BA Classics<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/english-ba\/\">BA English (Fall 2023)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/english-creative-writing-concentration-ba\/\">BA English with a concentration in Creating Writing (Fall 2023)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/english-film-studies-concentration-ba\/\">BA English with a concentration in Film Studies (Fall 2023)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/gender-sexuality-and-womens-studies\/study-with-us\/gsws-ba-mba\">BA Gender, Sexuality, and Women\u2019s Studies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/history\/programs-of-study\/history-ba-mba\/\">BA History<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/humanities-ba-combined-ba-mba\/\">BA Humanities<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/language-business-culture-combined-ba-mba\/#requirementstext\">BA Language, Business, and Culture<\/a> (with concentrations in Arabic, French, German, and Italian). <strong><em>NOTE: the combined BA\/MBA program option is not applicable to the BA in Language Business and Culture <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>with a concentration in Spanish<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/philosophy\/philosophy-ba-mba\/?wp_logged_in=true\">BA Philosophy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/psychology-ba\/#programrequirementstext\">BA Psychology<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/religion-ba-combined-ba-mba\/#programrequirementstext\">BA Religion<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/sociology-ba\/#programrequirementstext\">BA Sociology (Fall 2023)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/public-professional-writing-ba\/#programrequirementstext\">BA Public and Professional Writing<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interested in Pursuing the 4+1 Bachelor\u2019s \/ MBA Program?
