SCM Hosts ‘LGBT Issues in Sports’ at Yogi Berra
A panel of sports media professionals tackled LGBT issues.

On October 2, Montclair State’s School of Communication and Media sponsored a panel discussion "LGBT Issues in Sports" at the Yogi Berra Museum Museum and Learning Center. Panelists included Jane McManus from , Jared Max, former ESPN New York and WCBS radio reporter and host, plus Athlete Ally founder Hudson Taylor. The panel discussed the issues facing the LGBT community in sports, including a discussion of the controversy surrounding the upcoming Winter Olympics in Russia, where a law bans "homosexual propaganda." The discussion was taped for the School’s "Carpe Diem" series and was organized by Professor Marc Rosenweig.
