Registered students will receive access to AIM after completing an intake appointment. If you have any questions regarding your accommodation plan, access to AIM, or would like to discuss further, please contact your DRC Counselor (listed in AIM) or contact us at: <a href=\"mailto:drc@montclair.edu\">drc@montclair.edu<\/a> or <a href=\"tel:973-655-5431\">973-655-5431<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"notice\">Requesting the Accommodation Notice<\/h2>\n<p>You must log in to AIM each semester and submit your accommodation requests. The DRC approves requests beginning the week before the course start date. Approvals continue daily during business hours throughout the semester.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bachelor.accessiblelearning.com\/Montclair\">Log-in to AIM<\/a> with your student NetID and password.<\/li>\n<li>In the left panel, under <strong>\u201cMy Accommodations\u201d<\/strong>, select <strong>\u201cMy Eligibility\u201d<\/strong> to view your complete accommodation plan. (Additional Note: Accommodations listed as \u2018Internal Only\u2019 will not appear in your Accommodation Notice).<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>\u201cMy Dashboard\u201d<\/strong> to return to the AIM home page.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll to <strong>\u201cStep 1: Select Class(es)\u201d<\/strong> and select the checkbox for each class you would like to request accommodations.<\/li>\n<li>Click the button labeled <strong>\u201cStep 2: Continue to Customize your Accommodations.\u201d <\/strong>Underneath each class in the area labeled <strong>\u201cSelect Accommodations,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0select the checkboxes for each approved accommodation you would like to receive in each class.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>\u201cSubmit your Accommodation Request\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once submitted, the DRC will approve requests beginning the week before the course start date. Approvals continue daily during business hours throughout the semester. Once approved, an email stating your name, CWID, course, and accommodations requested will be generated and emailed to both you and your instructors.<\/p>\n<p>Students can view the status of requests in AIM. Select <strong>\u201cSummary of Accommodation Request(s)\u201d<\/strong> and select the current semester. Click <strong>\u201cView\u201d<\/strong> and scroll to each course. The status of \u201c<strong>Scheduled\u201d<\/strong> means your accommodation requests were received and awaiting approval\/delivery. The status of <strong>\u201cEmailed\u201d<\/strong> means the Notice was emailed to your professor. The date and time of the email delivery is also listed.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"quiz\">Scheduling Exams\/Quizzes<\/h2>\n<p>Students who are approved for testing accommodations and would like to take an exam or quiz with the DRC Testing Center must <strong>schedule the exam\/quiz in AIM no less than 3 business days (Monday \u2013 Friday) before the exam date.<\/strong> Please see the Alternative Testing Request table below to determine request deadlines.<\/p>\n<table class=\"responsive-table\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th><strong>Day of Exam<\/strong><\/th>\n<th><strong>Request Deadline<\/strong><\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Monday<\/td>\n<td>Preceding Wednesday<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Tuesday<\/td>\n<td>Preceding Thursday<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Wednesday<\/td>\n<td>Preceding Friday<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Thursday<\/td>\n<td>Preceding Monday<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Friday<\/td>\n<td>Preceding Tuesday<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>To schedule an exam or quiz with the DRC Testing Center, please follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Students will use their Net-ID username and password to log-in to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bachelor.accessiblelearning.com\/Montclair\">AIM<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>\u201cAlternative Testing\u201d<\/strong> (listed under <strong>\u201cMy Accommodations\u201d<\/strong> on the left side of the screen).<\/li>\n<li>Select your class from the drop down menu and click, <strong>\u201cSchedule an Exam\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter <strong>\u201cExam Details\u201d<\/strong> with the information for the course and exam <strong>(\u201cRequest Type\u201d; \u201cDate\u201d; \u201cTime\u201d; \u201cAdditional Note\u201d)<\/strong>. You must schedule the exam\/quiz to occur on the same date and time as the class. DRC will adjust your start time and\/or exam date to avoid any course conflicts, when applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>\u201cAdd Exam Request\u201d<\/strong> to submit your exam request. If you wish to submit an additional exam request, please repeat the above steps.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an auto-generated email from AIM confirming receipt of your exam\/quiz scheduled with the DRC. If you do not receive an email OR you receive the \u201cLate Request\u201d email, please contact the DRC Main Office <strong>immediately<\/strong> at 973-655-5431 or <strong><a href=\"mailto:drc@montclair.edu\">drc@montclair.edu<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On your exam date, please arrive in the DRC Main Office (Cole Hall, Room 331) at least 10 minutes before your start time, when possible. <strong>Please Note:<\/strong> If you arrive late, the DRC cannot adjust your exam time.
