Environmental Science and Management PhD candidate, Odera Umeh, under the advisement of Dr. Duke Ophori<\/a>, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2025 Land Conservancy of New Jersey (TLCNJ) scholarship<\/a>, recognizing his exceptional academic achievements, commitment to protecting our water resources, aquatic species preservation, and environmental stewardship. The scholar was chosen from a competitive pool of applicants for his outstanding work in addressing critical environmental challenges in New Jersey and beyond. His research focuses on tackling per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) crises in New Jersey’s drinking water systems and aquatic species.<\/p>\n
