The University has allocated $10,000 annually to assist adjunct faculty who have completed at least four (4) semesters of employment and remain eligible to teach in the following semester.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These funds may be used for activities such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conducting research for scholarly publications<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attending or presenting at regional or national conferences<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating or completing artistic works<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The applic<\/span>ation period is now open! Applications must be submitted online by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fall Semester Deadline<\/strong>: October 15 at 4:30pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spring Semester Deadline<\/strong>: February 16 at 4:30pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A committee (with two individuals selected by Local 6025 and one individual selected by the University) will review applications based on the proposal\u2019s alignment with the instructor\u2019s professional development goals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance of the proposed goals and outcomes to instructional responsibilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Funding decisions are final and not subject to appeal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To be eligible for the program, you must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have completed four or more semesters of employment at ÌÇÐÄvlog as an adjunct<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be an active adjunct faculty member at the time of your application<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be eligible to teach in the subsequent semester<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have received satisfactory student survey reports<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To complete your application, you will need to have ready the following documents to upload:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A proposal (250-750 words)<\/li>\n<li>A pdf file of at least two student survey reports<\/li>\n<li>A resume or CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>For the proposal (250-750 words) you are asked to:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Describe the research or professional development you are engaging in and how it will support your work as an adjunct faculty professor.\u00a0Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance of the proposed goals and outcomes to instructional responsibilities. Include an explanation of how you derived your budget request, which you will be asked to detail in a subsequent question.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The proposal should also include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An evaluative statement about your teaching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application form will also ask you to provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A listing of the courses you have taught over the last four semesters (required)<\/li>\n<li>Supporting information about student support, service to the university, program development, and scholarly\/artistic output (optional) and whether you are willing to present on your project (as relevant)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Fall 2026 application cycle will open prior to the start of the fall semester.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Adjunct Research and Professional Development Fund was established through a Letter of Agreement with Adjunct Union\/Local 6025.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, April 17, 2026 @ 11 a.m.<\/strong>: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/montclair-faculty-excellence.libcal.com\/event\/16588572\">Adjunct Research and Professional Development Fund Award Session<\/a>,\u201d highlighting awardees of the Fall 2025\u00a0Adjunct Research and Professional Development Fund\u00a0application cycle.
