In addition to the below academic criteria, <strong>all<\/strong> applicants should demonstrate a strong record of public service, charitable or other work, achievement in research or the creative arts, personal leadership, or other notable accomplishments.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tab-group\"><div class=\"tab-content\"><h2>New Freshmen<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Admissions criteria for Freshman Applicants<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To be considered for the ÌÇÐÄvlog Honors EDGE Program as a new freshman, applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A strong record of academic achievement in high school, typically demonstrated by a GPA of 3.5 or higher. We encourage students who have excelled academically and who exhibit intellectual curiosity and passion to apply, regardless of GPA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creativity and Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for students who demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in creative activities such as visual arts, performing arts or writing.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership in extracurricular activities, school clubs or community organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in public service, volunteerism or charitable work.<\/li>\n<li>Personal initiative in pursuing independent projects or goals (e.g., starting a club, engaging in entrepreneurial activities).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We value diverse experiences and encourage you to highlight any achievements that showcase your potential for growth and your contributions to your school or community.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a <strong>high school student<\/strong> who has been accepted to ÌÇÐÄvlog, you can apply for Honors EDGE <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.montclair.edu\/register\/honorsfreshmen26\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"tab-content\"><h2>Current Students<\/h2>\n<p>The priority application deadline for <strong>Fall 2026<\/strong> admission is <strong>Monday, May 25th, 11:59 p.m. <\/strong>Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a case-available basis. <a href=\"https:\/\/montclair.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6hAHryuCxgMIhuK\"><strong>Apply Today!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Admissions Criteria for Current Students:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Academic Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A consistent record of academic achievement at ÌÇÐÄvlog demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a commitment to learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creative and Research Achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Demonstrated excellence in creative arts, innovative research or other scholarly pursuits. We value originality, critical thinking and the ability to contribute new perspectives within your field of study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Engagement and Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A strong commitment to leadership, public service or community involvement showcasing a dedication to making a positive impact. We encourage students with a strong academic foundation and intellectual curiosity to apply regardless of GPA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equivalent Accomplishments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Demonstrated <strong>excellence in one or more<\/strong> of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public service, charitable work or community engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Research in any field or creative arts.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership or personal initiative in academic, extracurricular or work settings.<\/li>\n<li>Other notable accomplishments that showcase your potential for growth and contribution to the Honors EDGE Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please Note:<\/strong> We ask that all written work in your application reflects\u00a0<strong>your own ideas and experiences<\/strong>.
