Forced Restart

Unfortunately, we noticed a small percentage of clients who have not completed the process of upgrading by restarting their machines. Unfortunately, there is not a way to accurately identify all of the users to alert them separately. On October 14, 2022 at 1:00pm, we will launch our mandatory restart for machines that have been updated and not yet restarted. A reminder will be set beginning that Monday, October 10th. We ask that you plan accordingly and if possible, restart your computer prior to the mandatory restart date and time to suit your schedule to avoid the forced restart.

Please Note: Please plan appropriately as upon restart of your machine(s), it will take up to 1 hour for the update to complete. As a reminder, you should make a habit of restarting your machine.

About Windows 11 or 10(21H2)

Upgrading to Windows 11 introduces a more feature rich operating system. Most functionality between Windows 10 and Windows 11 is similar but you will see a redesigned user interface, with a new logon screen, start menu, task bar, and snap layouts. You should also see a smoother transition from monitor to laptop, as Windows will now remember how your apps were positioned when you unplug from a monitor. The update also allows us to incorporate tools that will allow us to better manage software and security updates and deployments remotely.
