Doctoral candidate co-leads working group on Gender and Sexuality in Math Education

The Gender and Sexuality in Mathematics Education Working Group took place at the annual . The working group conducted focused discussions on “Supporting learners and scholars through our stories” to provide math educators a forum to share their interest in and experiences with gender and sexuality research in mathematics education. The discussions highlighted the need for more intersectional research and a need for more inclusion of these kinds of discussions in teacher education programs.
