Thanks to a series of funding opportunities* that are rarely available to a university with a B.A. program in Italian, students at all levels are involved in\u00a0innovative learning experiences that also embrace a social component.<\/p>\n<p>Students of Italian at ÌÇÐÄvlog have the unique opportunity of complementing their academic experience with activities that expose them to various aspects of Italian culture in dynamic ways: film screenings, guided tours in NY and NJ, concerts, restaurant outings, etc. are some of the regular items on the annual calendar of free events.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The vibrant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/coccia-institute\/amici-club\/\">Amici Italian club<\/a>\u00a0offers opportunities to network with other students at cultural and social events on and off campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/\">Inserra\u00a0Endowed Chair<\/a>\u00a0in Italian and Italian American Studies and the Italian Program jointly present a series of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/events\/2014-15-events\/\">cultural programs<\/a>\u00a0that involve students as participants and\/or assistants and put them in close contact with top performers and scholars from Italy and the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Several\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/inserra-chair\/opportunities-for-students\/\">pre-professional opportunities<\/a>\u00a0are given to our students via scholarships, internships and assistantships designed to enhance the academic curriculum with real-world experiences that support them financially while enriching their knowledge of Italian language and culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Funds are provided by the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies, SGA (Student Government Association), the Italian Program, as well as the Coccia Institute and Foundation and donors.<\/p>\n<p><!--a=1--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A broad spectrum of activities is offered to both ÌÇÐÄvlog students and high school students taking Italian.
