The Center\u2019s main purpose is to promote safe, evidence-based, quality care across the lifespan and healthcare continuum. Through simulation, nursing students learn to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with persons, families and members of the interprofessional healthcare team<\/li>\n<li>Think critically in complex and demanding situations<\/li>\n<li>Use emerging technologies to improve care outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Facilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Skills training laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Home health care \/ tele-health suite<\/li>\n<li>Two fully-mediated lecture-style classrooms<\/li>\n<li>Five high-fidelity control and simulation rooms<\/li>\n<li>Six health assessment rooms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"prpl-button-row\"><span class=\"prpl-button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nursing\/simulation-center\/facilities\/\">Learn More<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Enhancing Nursing Education Through Simulation<\/h2>\n<p>Instruction using intelligent Simulators that replicate clinical scenarios improves clinical decision-making skills. Audio and visual recording capabilities are integrated into all high-fidelity laboratories. This technology facilitates peer and instructor feedback, student reflection, and debriefing. By critically reflecting on simulated scenarios, analyzing the care provided and discussing alternative actions, students bridge the gap between academic and clinical practice.<\/p>\n<h2>INACSL Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement<\/h2>\n<p>INACSL\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inacsl.org\/endorsement-program\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement<\/a> is designed to recognize healthcare institutions and practices that have demonstrated excellence in applying all four of the following simulation standards from the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice in their educational simulation programs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-briefing: Preparation and Briefing<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation<\/li>\n<li>Professional Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Debriefing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Healthcare Simulation Standards guides the integration, use, and advancement of simulation-based experiences within academia, clinical practice, and research. The endorsement publicly recognizes institutions that excel in creating simulation experiences that enhance learning, promote professional development, and\/or advance the science of simulation. Organizations who receive the endorsement demonstrate a commitment to pursue and sustain excellence in the aforementioned four standards, designated as the \u201cCore Four\u201d Health Simulation Standards.<\/p>\n<p>The Simulation Center at the School of Nursing is proudly endorsed by INACSL (2025 &#8211; 2035).<\/p>\n<h2>Contact the Simulation Center<\/h2>\n<p>The Simulation Center at ÌÇÐÄvlog is available to students enrolled in the School of Nursing. We are committed to providing our community with practical health education through the \u201c<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/nursing\/2019\/08\/29\/montclair-state-school-of-nursing-introduces-stop-the-bleed-start-the-heart-program\" target=\"_blank\">Stop the Bleed &amp; Start the Heart<\/a>\u201d program.
