Join our Orientation community and complete!<\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"font-label_noAutoBold_25\">The completion of this course is mandatory for all new students*<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>*Students who are matriculated in a fully online undergraduate program are exempt from this requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>What\u2019s &#8220;New to the Nest&#8221; and Do I Have to Complete It?<\/h2>\n<p>New to the Nest is our online Canvas course for new undergraduate students. It will open in June and must be completed <strong>prior to attending your on-campus, Undergraduate Orientation program, \u201cReady to Soar.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learn all there is to know about becoming a new Red Hawk! This pre-orientation Canvas course will introduce you to helpful offices like the Dean of Students and Red Hawk Central.<\/p>\n<p>Log on to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/canvas\/\">Canvas<\/a>. The course is labeled: <strong>\u201cNew to the Nest Pre-Orientation Fall 2025.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What Should I Do if I Open Canvas in My NEST Account and \u201cNew to the Nest\u201d Is Not Listed as an Available Course to Take?<\/h2>\n<p>If you have recently claimed your NetID, it may take up to 24-48 hours before you are automatically enrolled into the course.
