This new tool will allow you to quickly report suspicious emails with just one click, helping to protect our campus from phishing attempts and other cyber threats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: <em>At this time, the PAB is only available to Faculty and Staff. If you are a student looking to help test this function, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/it-service-desk\/\">IT Service Desk<\/a> at\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"tel:9736557971\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"tel:9736557971\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\"><span class=\"a11y-phone-number initialized\" aria-label=\"9 7 3 6 5 5 79 71 \">973-655-7971<\/span><\/a>, option 1, or by email at\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"mailto:itservicedesk@montclair.edu\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"mailto:itservicedesk@montclair.edu\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">itservicedesk@montclair.edu<\/a>.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How It Works<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/security\/pab\/\">Phish Alert Button (PAB)<\/a> is now available in your university email client (Gmail).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you receive a suspicious email, simply click the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/security\/pab\/\"><strong>Phish Alert Button<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/phish-files\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/290\/2025\/02\/PAB.png\" alt=\"Knowbe4 Phish Alert Button (PAB) hook.\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" \/> to report it.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The PAB is located in your Gmail inbox on the right hand side of your screen.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you do not see this PAB don\u2019t fret! You might have your side panel hidden. Go to the bottom right corner of your inbox and click the carrot to show your side panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The email will be forwarded to our IT Security team for analysis and automatically removed from your inbox.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If the email is determined to be safe, no further action is needed. If it is a threat, we will take necessary measures to protect the university community.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Why Use the PAB?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Helps prevent phishing attacks by alerting IT security.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keeps our university\u2019s data and personal information secure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provides a quick and easy way to report suspicious emails.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and your vigilance helps keep our campus safe.
