As part of our ongoing efforts to keep your personal information and university accounts secure, please take a moment to review these important reminders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These simple steps can go a long way in protecting you from phishing, fraud, and other online threats:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Never accept an unsolicited Duo Push or Duo phone call<\/strong>
    \n<\/span> If you receive a DUO prompt you didn\u2019t initiate, <\/span>deny it<\/em><\/strong> and report it. Someone may be trying to access your account. You should also <\/span>reset your NetID password<\/a> immediately<\/em><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Never enter your NetID and password into Google Forms or Microsoft Forms<\/strong>
    \n<\/span>We will <\/span>never<\/strong><\/em><\/span> ask you for your password via email or an online form. When in doubt, don\u2019t enter your credentials!<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Ignore unsolicited job offers sent to your email<\/strong>
    \n<\/span> Scammers often send fake job offers to steal your information. Use <\/span>    Handshake<\/strong><\/a> for legitimate job opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Only use the Duo Mobile App to verify your logins<\/strong>
    \n<\/span>Do <\/em>not<\/strong><\/em><\/span> approve DUO calls or use third-party tools\u2014stick with the Duo Mobile app for the most secure experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you ever receive a suspicious message or notice unusual activity, please report it immediately to <\/span>phishfiles@montclair.edu<\/a> or utilize the Phishing Alert Button (PAB)<\/a>.<\/p>\n
