Universities and colleges house vast amounts of sensitive information, making them prime targets for cyber threats. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/security\/duo-mfa\/\">Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> adds an extra layer of security to protect students, faculty, and staff from unauthorized access and cyberattacks.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What is Duo MFA?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/security\/duo-mfa\/\">Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is a security measure that adds an extra layer of protection to user accounts by requiring multiple forms of verification before granting access. This helps prevent unauthorized access, even if passwords are compromised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Why is Duo MFA Important?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cybersecurity threats such as phishing and credential theft are becoming increasingly sophisticated.
