To strengthen account security and protect our campus community from cyber threats, ÌÇÐÄvlog is implementing <\/span>Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/a> for Microsoft services, including Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 applications. This change will begin <\/span>Tuesday, May 13, 2025<\/strong> and affect all students, faculty, and staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why MFA?<\/h2>\n

Cybersecurity threats such as phishing and credential theft continue to rise across higher education. Passwords alone are no longer sufficient to protect sensitive data, especially when reused or exposed in breaches. <\/span>Duo MFA<\/a> adds a second layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification\u2014typically a push notification to your mobile device\u2014before granting access to your account.<\/span><\/p>\n

What to Expect<\/h2>\n

Starting on <\/span>Tuesday, May 13th<\/strong>, when you log into your <\/span>Microsoft 365 apps<\/a> using your university account, you\u2019ll be prompted to verify your identity with Duo. <\/span>If you’re already using Duo to access campus applications<\/strong>, you won\u2019t need to install anything new. Just approve the Duo prompt as usual.<\/span><\/p>\n
