Students must be eligible to apply, and must complete an application process. <\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA<\/li>\n<li>Graduating in the spring semester, or the prior fall or summer semesters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application Steps<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The application process has two phases:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Students will submit a written application that will be reviewed by their college or school\u2019s dean\u2019s office.<\/li>\n<li>If selected as a potential finalist, students will be required to write a commencement speech to present orally before a panel of faculty, staff and administrators<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The application process and its deadlines for the upcoming Commencement will be announced in February. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each year, students may apply to be the Student Speaker at ÌÇÐÄvlog\u2019s annual Commencement ceremony.
