New Study Published by Laura Lakusta

Laura Lakusta, associate professor in the Department of Psychology, recently published a study in the journal Cognition. The study is titled “.” Some of the critical research for this study came out of a recent National Science Foundation award. The main finding is that infants’ representations of events can support language learning.
Lakusta’s research generally focuses on cognitive and language development in infants and children, specifically on the development of spatial concepts and spatial language acquisition. Lakusta’s work is published in peer-reviewed journals including Cognition, Language Learning and Development, and Cognitive Science and she is the recipient of research funding from the National Science Foundation.
