Psychology focuses on understanding, predicting and solving problems related to human behavior in today\u2019s information-rich world, which makes it one of the most relevant, versatile fields of study.<\/p>\n

If you want to better understand yourself and those around you, look no further than a degree in Psychology. You\u2019ll employ a variety of lenses \u2013 including biological, cognitive, developmental, social and personality \u2013 to appreciate why people do what they do while building expertise in scientific methods, critical thinking and statistical procedures.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n

Our Programs<\/h2>\n

With more than 1,500 undergraduate majors, Psychology is one of the most popular majors at Montclair State that can lead to a satisfying career in several fields. We also offer a combined Psychology BA\/MA<\/a> in psychological science, a minor in Psychology<\/a>, and degrees in partnership with the College of Education and Human Services that lead to teacher certification<\/a> and with the business school that leads to a BA\/MBA<\/a> in 5 years.<\/p>\n

At the graduate level, our department offers PhDs in Clinical Psychology<\/a> and in Industrial\/Organizational Psychology<\/a> and master degrees in Psychological Sciences<\/a>, Industrial\/ Organizational Psychology<\/a>, and Clinical Psychology<\/a> (with concentrations in Child\/Adolescent Psychology<\/a> and Forensic Psychology<\/a>). We also offer a specialist-level program in School Psychology<\/a> and a certificate in advanced quantitative methods<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
