\nNdidiamaka Amutah<\/strong> \u2022 Public Health, CEHS \n2016 Cyber Mentors Award<\/em> \nAmerican Psychological Association \n$13,970 \nThis grant was made in support of Dr. Amutah, who will produce manuscripts based on her pilot study Project DASH for submission to journals. \n<\/div>

\n\u200c\u200cRenata Blumberg <\/strong>\u2022 Nutrition and Food Studies, CEHS \nPankaj Lal <\/strong>\u2022 Earth and Environmental Studies, CSAM \n<\/strong>Bridging the Gap Between New Jersey Farmers and Consumers Through Research, Education and Outreach<\/em> \n<\/strong>US Department of Agriculture \n$150,000 \nThis USDA-funded project will analyze how farmers markets in urban communities could play a role in improving both farmer livelihoods and the nutrition of low-income consumers with limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to strengthening food and agricultural research, education, and outreach through community engagement and Service-Learning at ÌÇÐÄvlog.\u200c\u200c<\/strong> \n<\/div>

\nTeresa Fiore<\/strong> \u2022 Spanish and Italian \nMarisa Trubiano<\/strong> \u2022 Spanish and Italian \nAudiovisual translation in Italian<\/em> \nItaly’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation \n$15,000 \nThe Italian Program in the Department of Spanish and Italian will use this award to create a capstone course in audiovisual translation to prepare students to embark on careers in translation for the creative and cultural industries through professional projects developed with partners from the private and public sectors, with a focus on the internationalization of Italian culture. \n<\/div>

\nKrystal Woolston<\/strong> \u2022 Center for Community Engagement \nDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service<\/em> \nNJ Commission on National and Community Service \n$2,500 \nThis grant was awarded in support of MSU volunteers who participated in the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This marks third year that the Center for Community Engagement and the Volunteer Center collaborated to organize the event. \n<\/div>
