Policy Updates: What’s New! /student-services/2025/09/18/policy-updates-whats-new/ /student-services/2025/09/18/policy-updates-whats-new/#respond Thu, 18 Sep 2025 20:28:39 +0000 /student-services/?p=217234 糖心vlog has recently updated several key academic policies. Here鈥檚 a quick overview of the changes you need to know:

Medical Withdrawal Policy

The Medical Withdrawal process has new requirements and clearer deadlines:

  • : Students must complete this form before submitting a request.
  • Partial Withdrawals: Must now be submitted by the University鈥檚 Last Day to Withdraw from Classes.
  • Full Withdrawals: Requests are due at least six (6) business days before the semester ends.
  • Current Semester Only: Retroactive requests are no longer accepted. Students should also review the financial and housing impacts carefully, as withdrawals may affect tuition, financial aid, housing, and meal plans.

Pass/Fail Grading Policy

Pass/Fail grading can now be applied not only to free electives, but also to General Education/SEEDS Exploration courses. To align with peer institutions, the total number of credits allowed as Pass/Fail has been reduced.

Please Note: This policy is for undergraduate students, only.

Pass/Fail Grading Policy

Dean鈥檚 List Policy

The Dean鈥檚 List criteria have changed: eligibility beginning with the Fall 2025 semester now goes to students with a GPA in the top 10% of their college, rather than a set GPA cutoff.

Please Note: This policy is for undergraduate students, only.
