{"id":217001,"date":"2026-03-13T09:18:56","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T13:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/student-services\/?p=217001"},"modified":"2026-03-13T09:19:38","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T13:19:38","slug":"registration-seamless-login-waiting-room-feature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/student-services\/2026\/03\/13\/registration-seamless-login-waiting-room-feature\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration: Seamless Login &amp; Waiting Room Feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Registration for Fall 2026 starts Friday, March 20 and we\u2019ve got two important tips to make the process smoother (and to help keep the system running).<\/p>\n<h2>Duo Login for Registration Week<\/h2>\n<p>To make logging in easier during Registration Week, the &#8220;Remember Me&#8221; period for Duo will be extended so you won\u2019t have to verify your login every time\u2014just once for the first week of registration!<\/p>\n<h3>How to Enable It \u2705<\/h3>\n<p>When logging in, check the box that says \u201cYes, this is my device.\u201d As long as you use the same device and browser, you won\u2019t need to verify with Duo again for 7 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heads Up:<\/strong> If you switch devices or clear your browser history, you\u2019ll need to re-authenticate.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Registration Waiting Room \u23f3<\/h2>\n<p>To ensure a smooth registration experience for everyone, we&#8217;ve implemented a virtual waiting room, courtesy of Queue-it, during peak registration periods. If many students are registering simultaneously, you&#8217;ll be placed in a queue and automatically advanced when it&#8217;s your turn. This will help maintain system stability and provide a fair registration process for all students. <strong>Queue-it will display your position in line and estimated wait time.<\/strong> We appreciate your patience as we work to make registration as efficient as possible for everyone. <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vQl7I1BvpgQWM1qNyessWuns8e2_oSGRxFAhujk2pLK4cXj2ep1038iF-WAhUGohJZoreuxCdi1_vh9\/pub\" target=\"_blank\">Learn More about Queue-it and How To Use It!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s what to expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the registration system is at capacity when it&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/red-hawk-central\/registrar\/registration\/registration-times\/\"><strong>your time to register<\/strong><\/a>, you\u2019ll be automatically placed into a waiting room and given an estimated wait time.<\/li>\n<li>You can choose the &#8220;Notify Me&#8221; option once placed in the queue. To do so you will enter your Montclair email.
