Students have the unique opportunity to study and perform on the Partch Instrumentarium, the collection of microtonal instruments invented by the 20th century composer Harry Partch. These instruments provide inspiration for students to compose and create new instruments of their own. This is a specialized program that is normally taken in conjunction with Theory/Composition or other Cali School music major.

Curriculum Requirements: All university students must fulfill the set of applicable to their degree. In addition, the following requirements apply to the minor.

Complete 18 semester hours, including the following 2 requirement(s):
