Biography

It's been my privilege to teach EDFD 449, Current Issues in American Education. My career in education spans the K-12 landscape—having served as a History teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and Principal—as well as time as a national teacher trainer for Engaging Schools, focusing on equitable and engaging classroom cultures. Throughout my career, I’ve deeply valued collaborative practice, particularly through leading and participating in Critical Friends Groups (CFGs).

I've always been grounded in the belief that "teaching is the greatest act of optimism." My approach with learners of any age is based on mutual respect, collaboration, and empowerment. I view the classroom as a community of learners where we all—myself included—grow together.
