Biography
I am a Sociologist who explores the intersection of family, work, gender, and race/ethnicity. My most recent research examines how feelings of being a burden to others or not belonging to a community influence loneliness, depression, and suicidal behaviors among young people (18 to 24), older adults, and Americans with disabilities. I primarily use large secondary datasets the MIDUS and the NSFH.
