Biography

Maryam Jamal is a Research Assistant at the Center for Research and Evaluation on Education and Human Services (CREEHS) for the New Jersey Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS); a joint research project of the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Prior to this, Maryam worked as a Community Health Worker for Barnabas Health Corporation in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Additionally, she was a Clinical Research Coordinator with Penn Medicine’s PEACE Family Planning. 

Maryam received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Rutgers University New Brunswick and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. She has a passion for women’s health, social justice, and community engagement.
