Biography
Peter Gillis
As an Adjunct Professor of Voice in the John J. Cali School of Music since 2004, I’ve been honored to guide the technical and artistic development of many undergraduate and graduate students building careers in Performance, Music Education, Music Theater, and Music Therapy. It's been gratifying to mentor students from across the United States, Canada, and abroad.
In addition to applied studio work, I have enjoyed leading classes in Voice Practicum and, at the graduate level, Oratorio Literature. An especially rewarding part of my Cali experience has been my ongoing association with the university’s outstanding Choral Program as a performer, an adjudicator, and in choral workshops.
The talent, determination and success of my students has fostered in me an inspiring mission, which informs the enthusiasm I pass on to my students.
