The Curricular Development Committee examines how advances in artificial intelligence are reshaping disciplinary knowledge, curricular composition, and professional expectations. Its work focuses on developing definitions, mapping AI-related curricular activity across the University, and engaging faculty, students, and staff in conversations about the role of AI in the curriculum.

Work in Progress
The AI Curricular Development Committee’s current projects include:
- supporting the Office of the Provost in the creation of an AI graduation requirement.
- mapping AI and AI-adjacent courses across the Montclair and Bloomfield campuses and classifying them using these frameworks.
- investigating how advances in AI are shaping workforce expectations and the skill sets students will need as they enter professional fields.
